PARTIAL-SERVICE REPRESENTATION
If clients choose to retain us for partial services, we will evaluate the requested services, the client’s budget and the responsibilities the client is willing and able to undertake in order for us to determine our fee and whether a partial-service contract is recommended. For some cases, a partial-service contract can prevent us from providing a thorough representation. If a partial-service contract will limit our representation to the extent that it will likely affect the application process and outcome, we will inform clients and may refuse to offer a partial-service contract. Often, clients choose partial-service contracts when they already filed the initial application and then seek assistance with the reminder of the application process.

PAYMENT PLANS
Our payment schedule usually depends on the type of case. For cases that can be completed within a few weeks, we usually request full payment at the start of the case. For cases that require months to complete, we usually request half of the fee upfront and the remainder after a significant milestone.

We understand that there are unforeseen circumstances in which clients are unable to follow the initial payment schedule. We will minimally we provide a 30-day grace period to clients who contact us prior to the payment date and explain their situation. Clients who do not provide advance notice or repeatedly fail to fulfil their obligation after the grace period will be charged a $25 late fee for every 30 days following the payment due date.

PRO BONO
Each year we will volunteer to provide our services free of charge to one or two clients. Priority is given to victims of domestic abuse and U.S. military members.
